Since 1990 Old Town invited classic cars to cruise the red-brick street in their turn of the century-styled marketplace!  And it's become a tradition!

Come along and cruise with us as we celebrate another year of cruising Old Town.  Vehicles 1979 and older are invited to step back in time with us Saturday Nites!  Classics, antiques, street rods, muscle cars and trucks cruise at 8:30 pm. as spectators line the sidewalks and see automotive history pass before their eyes.

Recognized as America’s longest running weekly cruise, Old Town invites cruisers, enthusiasts and admirers to come along!  Bring the entire family and every generation to take a trip down memory lane.

Entertainment throughout the day including: a DJ, rolling piano players, celebrity impersonators and more.

Live entertainment on the Bud Light Stage on Trophy:

• Karen Kalin: 3:00 – 6:00pm
• KC Sunshine Tribute Band: 7:00 – 11:00pm

This is the season in Florida where our temperatures are hot and the weather is intense.  We seek out air conditioning.  But our first responders don't have a choice but to be out
in the heat to take care of the communities and families.

Bring and donate a case or two of water and donate to our first responders.
Donations will be accepted at the WJBJ sound Trailer on the corner of Plant and S. Boyd Streets.

45^th Early Irons Easter Rod Run postponed until

Orlando, FL, December 28, 2015

Dear Street Rodders and Friends;

As you probably know, a very large car show takes place annually in Daytona on the last weekend of March. Easter falls on that weekend in 2016 as well. After considering all of our options, the Early Irons have decided to postpone our 45^th Easter Rod Run until April 14-15, 2017.

Shoot, gall darn it, phooey, yea that’s what we said too! Relax this double up of two great shows doesn’t happen again until 2024. NOW let’s look at the positive side of our decision, none of our faithful participants will have to choose which show to attend, and that’s a good thing! Even better the Early Irons have committed this “break” to organize, recruit new members, and to re-align our “brand” for a more up-to-date approach to our event. See our new logo above.

We can assure you that your experience at our 2017 event will be memorable. Same location, Easter weekend (April 14-15, 2017), and be ready to have more fun and good times and meet more people than you can imagine. We promise. We want to thank you all for your support over the last 44 years. The Easter show in 2017 starts the next chapter for the Early Irons Rod Run and also for the Early Irons. We hope you will be there to share it with us, after all, the show is for you! We remain, “Dedicated to fun with cars”.

January 16 - Winter Garden Teddy Bear Drive and Cruz-In

Did you know police, fire and first responders carry teddy bears to give to children involved in fires, car accidents, domestic violence situations? It's true!
January 16th we will hold a Teddy Bear Drive to support local law enforcement, fire fighters and first responders. Please bring a brand new bear or a den of new fluffy warm bears to the Downtown Winter Garden (Florida) Car Show from 4:00-8:00 and drop it off at the WJBJ sound trailer on the corner of S. Boyd and Plant Street.
Each of us can make a difference in a child life during a very difficult time. Please share this with your friends and let's see the impact of social media! If you can't make it to the event, message me an we can make arrangements to receive your donation beforehand. Thank you SO much!

Happy New Year Friends!!
As we send this from the studio we are thinking of each of you and feeling thankful.  You are keeping classic cars and show car hobby alive!  And you continue to share your amazing cars and trucks with the communities you live in and that is awesome.  We also feel thankful for your support.  We appreciate when you ask us to be a part of your events, we love supporting this amazing hobby, spending time with friends old and new, and playing your special songs.

As always things change, and we've found this to be true this year as well.  Some shows we think of fondly as we say goodbye, like the incredibly successful Beach Blast. It was a privilege to be a part of this event for over 20 years.  Our glasses are raised to you Mike and Michael for negotiating, gathering, communicating, inviting, registering and hosting it.  The world will never fully understand the hard work you all put into this event.  And we know you loved it too.

Your Downtown Winter Garden Cruz-In made some changes as well.  And although we won't meet as often, we are happy to now have this event managed by the City and because of our struggles, we now enjoy a great following of support from the community residents and merchants thanks to the power of social media.

We've already alerted the community about the January 16th Winter Garden Cruz-In and have invited them to take part in the Teddy Bear Drive with us and they are SO excited!  The invitation has already been picked up by many in the WG community and shared on Instagram, Twitter and a variety of others.  Absolutely amazing.  I hope you'll mark you calendar and join us…don't forget everyone to bring a new teddy bear, any shape or size will do.  We'll help kids who are caught in difficult situations like house fires, auto accidents and domestic violence.  Let's plan to provide teddy bears to every police car, emergency response vehicle and fire truck as we start this new year!!

We've experienced some sad times as well.  We've lost some cruiser friends this year and we all miss them at the shows and cruise-ins. Others are still struggling with pretty tough illnesses and we keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm sure there are many more things we could share here, but I think you know our feelings about you and your super-cool automobiles.

The New Year 2016 is just ahead of us and we hope it is a safe and happy beginning to 2016 for each of you and your loved ones and we can't wait to see what this year has in store!!  Let's raise a glass to 2015 and to all the experiences ahead.  Seat belts on…the ride is about to start!
